Why do charging stations have "6.5 kW" or "50 kW" as part of their description?

kW measures the amount of electric flow through a charging connection. It’s also how to determine if a charging station is Level 2 or Level 3. Level 2 stations range from 6.5kW to 19.2kW. Level 3 stations are anything higher than 19.2kW—with the most common wattage being 50kW. The higher the kW, the faster your EV will charge.
