Why was a congestion charge toll added to my reservation?

As of January 5, 2025, New York City has implemented a congestion charge within the designated congestion zone. Zipcar members and drivers will be subject to this charge, which is based on either off-peak or peak pricing.

Peak periods for the congestion zone are weekdays 5AM - 9PM and weekends 9AM - 9PM with a toll rate of $9.00. A toll rate of $2.25 will be in effect during off peak hours.
